The Nordic Museum has actively collected archival and printed materials on the Nordic immigrant experience since the Museum opened its doors in 1980.

The Special Collections Archives contain more than 17,000 photographs, films, and negatives, and more than 21,000 archival items, including: ephemera, documents, letter correspondence, maps, posters, finding aids for manuscript collections, oral history interviews, and born-digital materials. The Special Collections Archives are available for research by advance appointment. You may email collections@nordicmuseum.org for more information.
