Human Centered Climate Change

Panel Discussion

In conjunction with the exhibit Lessons from the Arctic – How Roald Amundsen won the Race to the South Pole, the Museum will host an evening with a panel of scientists and environmentalists who will discuss the impact of climate change and its effects since Amundsen’s expedition a century ago.

Our panelists include: 
Robert Charlson, a world expert in atmospheric chemistry, aerosol physics, aerosol/cloud/climate interaction, aerosol and cloud instrumentation; 
Cecilia Bitz, a professor in the Atmospheric Sciences,  and Director of the UW program on Climate Change 
Sarah Doherty, a Senior Research Scientist at the Joint Institute for the Study of the Atmosphere and Ocean, a NOAA/UW cooperative institute; 
David Battisti, the Tamaki Endowed Chair of Atmospheric Sciences at UW.
