This educational festival features Nordic foods, lively entertainment, a Viking Encampment, and much more!

Festival hours 10AM - 5PM, Saturday & Sunday - August 19th & 20th

Festival Highlights Include:

  • Swedish Pancake Breakfast, Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 1pm.

  • Afternoon Salmon Bake with Alder-smoked salmon and all the fixins’—Saturday from 1pm until we sell out! 

  • Food Hearths: Eat your way through Scandinavia, tasting goodies from all five countries.

  • Valhalla Beer Garden: Sat 10am-6pm, Sun 10am-5pm. Enjoy Aquavit and local craft beers.

  • Viking Grill: Sausages and Alaskan Salmon burgers, Ivar’s clam chowder, and more!

  • Entertainment on 3 different stages.

  • Larger-than-life Viking Encampment with weaving, weapons-forging, and war.

  • Special tours of The Dream of America (11 am & 2pm; RSVP here) and The Whimsical World of Bjørn Wiinblad (12 pm & 3pm; RSVP here)

Viking Days Raffle

 

It's time for our annual Viking Days raffle! Purchase your tickets at the admissions desk or during Viking Days. Each ticket is $3, and the drawing will be held at the Museum on Sept. 8 at 5 p.m. You do not need to be present to win. All proceeds from raffle donations benefit educational programs and exhibitions of Nordic Heritage Museum.

 

This year's prizes include:

  • A weeklong stay at Eagle Crest Resort in central Oregon. Dates: April 8–15, 2018 (spring break week)
  • $1,000 naming plaque in the Nordic Museum’s east garden (25-character limit)

  • Seattle Mariners tickets, including an overnight stay at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront

  • Two passes to the Nordic Lights Film Festival. Dates: January 11–14, 2018

  • A Family Plus membership

If you join the Museum this weekend, you'll receive two complimentary tickets to an exclusive happy hour at famed Norwegian artist Steve Jensen's studio, which will take place from 4pm–7pm on December 2. There will be delicious hors d'oeuvres, live music, and a special guided tour with the artist. Event attendees will have the opportunity to purchase tickets to be entered into a drawing to win a piece of their choice from the gallery, valued at $1,200! Learn more about the event here.
