POSTPONED: Mead Making

w/ Erik Newquist

5pm-8pm

Update: This event has been POSTPONED due to incliment weather. New date will be announced to attendees soon, and future dates are being planned as well.

Learn to make your own mead with Erik Newquist, founder of Everett's Æsir Meadery, in this hands-on introduction to the art and science of the mead making process. Participants will explore the history and culture of this drink before reviewing materials and ingredient choices.  Thereafter, each participant will get to brew a gallon of mead. Participants will depart with handouts, complete instructions on caring for and drinking mead, and a tasty gallon of this popular drink.

Please note: Participants are expected to bring their own materials.  Erik recommends purchasing a mead kit here, which will allow students to make nearly any type of mead.

Cost: $50 for Members; $60 for General Admission

21 and up only

Class sizes are limited and registration is required, so please register in advance. Courses will be cancelled with a full refund if minimum enrollment is not met. Please contact Michael King, Adult Education Coordinator, for additional information at 206-789-5707, ext 7037  or [email protected].
