Sex After Sin in Scandinavia

w/ Professor Olivia Gunn

7pm

In the 20th century, Americans were shocked by graphic Swedish films and feared the consequences of socialism’s permissive attitude toward sex. This talk explores sexuality in the 21st century in Scandinavia, asking: What’s new? And have they moved beyond din?

Cost: Free, donations welcome

Afterwards continue with appetizers and a no-host bar.

Lecture Series: Scand30

Short, snappy, entertaining: Scand30 is a series of free, thirty-minute talks by UW Scandinavian Studies faculty the second Thursday of every month at 7:00PM at the Nordic Museum. The talks will tell you what you really need to know about Scandinavia to understand it.

UW Scandinavian Professors share their insight and cutting-edge ideas in Academia in an informal setting at the Nordic Museum. Drinks available for purchase in the bar.
