Photographic Center NW: Finding Inspiration

Date

October 1 - 2, 2022

Saturday 12-4pm & Sunday 10am-2pm

Admission

Class Fee: $220

Offered in conversation between the Photographic Center NW and “Across the West and Toward the North” exhibition at the National Nordic Museum, this workshop provides an opportunity to learn about the work of American and Norwegian landscape photographers of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries and then bring that inspiration to your own photographic work.

On Saturday (Oct 1), the workshop will begin with a curator-led tour of the exhibition at the Nordic Museum as well as a presentation on contemporary landscape photography led by photographer Jenny Riffle. On Sunday (Oct 2), Jenny will lead participants on a photographic excursion to Snoqualmie Falls to capture images inspired by both the grandeur of the landscape and the work seen in the exhibition.

Please note that this class is being offered through Photographic Center Northwest and registration will take you to their site.

This is an in-person workshop. Enrollment is limited to 12 students.
