Nordic Knitting Conference

2019

Conference
October 11-13

We are delighted to announce our keynote speaker is none other than Signe Aarhus, founder of Oleana.

Renowned for their exquisitely crafted clothing, the Oleana fashion house was founded in 1992 with the mission to create new jobs in Norway’s textile industry. While the rest of Western Europe had switched to cheap production methods and supplies, Oleana stood out by returning to traditional methods and materials to create their knitwear. This exhibition will feature the story and textiles behind Oleana’s fair-made philosophy.

2019 is our eighth conference, and we can't wait to weave together local and international knitters, artisans, vendors, and more in a program filled with demonstrations, talks, and the chance to dive into the knitty-gritty of the fiber world. Knitting rockstars Arne and Carlos are scheduled to attend, too!

We'll have more information, including program and presenter details, this summer. Check back for details! Check out the links below for highlights from our 2017 conference to get a feel for how we'll spin our days in 2019.

Tickets on sale July 11, 2019!

Meet Arne & Carlos! The popular Scandinavian knitting duo will headline the conference once again in 2017.

I have attended many knitting conferences in the past and this was hands down one of the very best.”
