Sweden: Boo and Baa Have Company by Lena and Olof Landström

Held the first Thursday of each month, Nordic Stories features children’s stories from the Nordic countries, along with fun craft projects. We hope you’ll join us for our last Nordic Stories at Secret Garden Books in downtown Ballard! (Beginning in June, Nordic Stories will be held in the Nordic Museum.)

Cost: Free

May 12, 10am – 1PM   |   vikings in the gallery 

Families visiting the Nordic Museum can interact with Viking reenactors, check out Viking artifacts in the core exhibition Nordic Journeys, and kids can make Viking craft projects in one of our classrooms. Appropriate for all ages.

MAY 26, 10AM – 1PM   |   lego extravaganza

Come celebrate the new Nordic Museum with family LEGO fun, featuring local LEGO expert Dan Parker. Check out a collection of cultural and historic LEGO artwork — including a 1/25 scale Viking Drakkar ship — and build at STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Mathematics) themed stations! There are building opportunities for all ages at this fun event.

Cost: $10 for Members, $15 general admission. Appropriate for all ages, cost includes parent participation.
