How to be a Viking includes:
- How did the Vikings read and write? We’ll spend time this week learning the runic alphabet and carving our own runestones out of clay!
- Norse mythology will be our inspiration for Day 2 of this camp. We’ll listen to myths together and work on art projects inspired by the Norse gods!
- At the end of the week, we’ll be joined by a Viking reenactor from the Jorvik Viking Centre, located in York, England. This Viking will teach us everything we need to know about how to survive as a Viking warrior! We’ll spend time this week creating our own helmets and shields to help prepare us for this experience.
