Where the Future Meets the Fjords: Nordic Innovation Summit 2025 Returns to Seattle
October 21-22, 2025Seattle once again becomes a hub of inspiration and creativity, showcasing the best of the Nordics and the Northwest when the Nordic Innovation Summit (NIS) returns for its 7th year, October 21–22. The Summit provides two days of Nordic inspired keynotes, lectures, and panel discussions to ignite ideas, spark collaborations, and encourage learning from two regions that have much in common.

In her first solo U.S. museum exhibition since 2010, Furunes explores the victimization of humans and the fragility of nature through her innovative artistic technique.

SEA-Nordic Film Festival Returns This September With a Crash Course on Danish Cinema
Read MoreComing this September 5-7th, the National Nordic Museum will present a crash course in Danish film to Ballard. The 2025 SEA-Nordic Film Festival will take place at Majestic Bay Theatres all weekend, with a special preview event and talk at the Museum on September 4th. This year, the Festival will be comprised of eleven films chosen by the Curator of the Danish Film Institute, Thomas Christensen, “to reflect on the richness of Danish film history.”
