Whether you’re looking to celebrate your heritage, support your local non-profit, meet like-minded people, or learn a new skill, volunteering with the National Nordic Museum is a fun, rewarding way to celebrate Nordic history and modern values with your community. We invite you to join us in sharing the Nordic spirit!

Volunteer Applications Closed

We are very thankful for our volunteers who help us carry out our mission through their volunteering efforts.  At present, volunteer applications are currently closed, as we are currently at full capacity through fall 2026. We look forward to welcoming new volunteers down the road!

    Internships

    Please contact Volunteer Coordinator Timothy Krumland or call 206.789.5707 ext. 7012 for current Internships available at the National Nordic Museum. Internships vary throughout the year and may occur in such departments as Collections, Development, Exhibitions, Marketing, and Programming.

    Bake with Goodies2Go

    Goodies2Go is a volunteer-led group of bakers who make thousands of cookies, breads, and other cherished holiday treats to sell at our annual holiday market, Julefest. Goodies2Go is one of the Museum's largest fundraisers of the year, and we are always looking for new bakers to join in the fun!
