Special Event Opportunities

The Museum has a variety of educational programs and activities plus special events that need assistance.

There are many volunteer opportunities associated with these programs. From baking for Yulefest, to roasting meat for Viking Days, to assisting with event setup or event staffing...we need help with it all!

Some of the Museum's special events, programs and fundraisers include:
Northern Lights Auktion (April)
Viking Days (August)
Yulefest (November)
Mostly Nordic Concert Series (February-June)
Wallenberg Lecture Series
Knitting Conference
Lectures

Special Children’s Events

and More!

Additionally, our educational programs are grateful for assistance with their activities.

Children’s education volunteers may lead school tours as a docent, help with summer Heritage Camp, and assist with special Children’s programs and outreach events.

Adult Education:

Adult education volunteers may lead tours as a docent, help with weekend Craft School classes, and assist the Adult education coordinator as needed.

Nordic American Voices:

Opportunities to assist the Oral History Project may include conducting, recording, and transcribing oral histories for the Museum collection and related administrative tasks.
