Are you a lover of all things Icelandic and have a taste for unique and fantastic experiences? Come celebrate Þorrablót, Iceland's midwinter feast, and enjoy traditional food and drink, along with a night of singing and dancing to live music! Meet, eat, drink, and have fun like an Icelander!

Þorrablót is presented by Icelandic Club of Greater Seattlethe Seattle-Reykjavik Sister City Association (SRSCA), and the National Nordic Museum.


Dance the night away with a vivid demonstration of Icelandic magic, food, and fun.

Entertainment

Music and other entertainment provided by the local Icelandic band SourBalls, with special guests Eyþór Ingi, an Icelandic megastar, and the great local Washingtonian Savanna Woods from The Voice. The wonderful Erna Rós Kristinsdóttir serves as your host and emcee.

Food

The 2023 Þorrablót features such unique and traditional Icelandic fare as Svið (boiled sheep’s head), Hákarl (fermented shark), Hangikjöt (smoked lamb), authentic Icelandic lamb roast with all the trappings, and more. Be sure to bring your appetite!

Together with our friends from Icelandic Club of Greater Seattle and the Seattle-Reykjavik Sister City Association, raise your glass to celebrate: “We made it through another winter! Have faith, and springtime is almost here!”
