Our monthly Nordic Stories program is geared toward preschool aged children and their caregivers and features children’s stories from the Nordic countries paired with fun craft projects. This month's book is: Rosie Runs by Marika Maijala with guest reader Mia Spangenberg!

*The National Nordic Museum is free every first Thursday of the month, so plan on spending time exploring the Museum with your family afterward!

About the Book:

A racing dog named Rosie escapes the track and bounds towards freedom in this panoramic heartwarming tale. For young readers who love people-watching, sniffing wild plants, racing in the wind, and other small joys of life.

About the Reader:

Mia Spangenberg translates fiction, nonfiction and children’s literature from Finnish, Swedish, and German into English. Her books for children and adults have been published in Finland, the US and the UK, and in journals such as LitHub and Asymptote. She also teaches translation workshops and is a regular contributor to the WorldKidLit blog.
