Coming Up:
SEA-Nordic Film Festival
September 4-7, 2025Coming this September 5-7th, the National Nordic Museum will present a crash course in Danish film to Ballard. The 2025 SEA-Nordic Film Festival will take place at Majestic Bay Theatres all weekend, with a special preview event and talk at the Museum on September 4th. This year, the Festival will be comprised of eleven films chosen by the Curator of the Danish Film Institute, Thomas Christensen, “to reflect on the richness of Danish film history.”

The National Nordic Museum is pleased to announce their next special exhibition, Anne-Karin Furunes: Illuminating Nordic Archives (March 15, 2025, to June 8, 2025). In her first solo U.S. museum exhibition since 2010, Furunes explores the victimization of humans and the fragility of nature through her innovative artistic technique.
