Ready for a creative challenge? Papercutting is an art that spans history and cultures, from simple silhouettes to intricate designs. Join artist Anna Brones to learn about creating a portrait in a papercut!
Materials needed:
- A craft knife + extra blades (Anna recommends this one)
- Self-healing cutting mat
- Printer paper (for sketching and practicing cutting)
- Heavier paper (for final papercuts). Anna mostly cuts in black paper, but you can choose what you would like. Anna recommends Canson Mi-Teintes 98 lb (this comes in a variety of colors too!)
- Pencil
- Eraser
- Ruler
