Shapes for Fall features nine works from artist Eva Isaksen in the Museum's Fjord Hall Alcove.
Artist Statement
The work in this exhibition is based on nature the way I experience it.
Landscapes I have visited, flowers I grow in my garden, lines and shapes I have seen, it is all mixed and forms my abstractions.
Pages from vintage magazines I have inherited from my grandfather’s bookstore in Northen Norway are used as collage material, together with Nepalese papers, paints and inks.
Through my work I find a balance in these unsettling times.
