The National Nordic Museum’s leadership staff, in consultation with the Board of Trustees, has agreed to voluntarily recognize the actions of the staff members seeking union representation by the Communication Workers of America Local 7800 following the confirmation of a card check process by a neutral observer. Card checks are commonly used by unions and employers to swiftly facilitate and certify voluntary recognition.
The National Nordic Museum fully supports our staff’s right to unionize and collectively bargain for a contract. Voluntary recognition is the first step in this process. We look forward to engaging in constructive dialog with the union to reach a mutually beneficial agreement that reflects our values and reinforces our commitment to our people and mission.
