A Zentangle is a simple line drawing that is split into sections, and then the sections are filled in with different patterns. Zentangles are a very relaxing way to draw – there’s no right or wrong, and it’s fun to think of different patterns to use! A great nature-themed Zentangle is to fill leaves on a branch with different patterns, like below. You can try something like this, or maybe draw one big leaf and split it up into smaller pieces! If you have colored pencils or markers at home, you can make your artwork bright and colorful.
To go along with the Museum’s Nordic Sól Celebration, “Nordic by Nature,” all of the crafts for kids from July 24 – August 31 have themes of nature or recycling!
