The National Nordic Museum is working on a spring 2027 exhibition about LEGO®, culture, and community.
Bricks Connect: Stories of LEGO® will explore the LEGO® brick as a cultural object, diving into the evolving notions of play, consumer culture, and the way that LEGO® — a family-owned company based in Billund, Denmark — worked its way into our lives, our hands, and our hearts.
LEGO®’s history shows the many ways in which people became far more than consumers of LEGO® playsets — creators and shapers of a vibrant, community-oriented culture. Today, AFoLs (Adult Fans of LEGO®) are an important part of the company’s identity and growth.
We are looking for LEGO® stories to include in the community section of Bricks Connect.
We are curating a collection of personal memories shared by LEGO® fans around the world, inviting visitors to consider the object and its deeper human meaning.
We are looking for 10-15 second audio clips telling a personal story or memory about LEGO®, accompanied by photos or videos that illustrate your story. If chosen, your story will be included in a video compilation with other LEGO® builders and enthusiasts in the Bricks Connect exhibit.
Stories may include:
- How you were first introduced to LEGO®
- What LEGO® means to you today
- How you share your love of LEGO® with others
