Mead Making

with Erik Newquist

9am–12pm

THIS CLASS IS SOLD OUT!

Learn to make your own mead with Erik Newquist, founder of Everett's Æsir Meadery, in this hands-on introduction to the art and science of the mead-making process. Participants will explore the history and culture of this drink before reviewing materials and ingredient choices. Thereafter, each participant will get to brew a gallon of mead. Participants will depart with handouts, complete instructions on caring for and drinking mead, and a tasty gallon of this popular drink.

PLEASE NOTE: Participants are expected to bring their own materials. Erik recommends purchasing a mead kit here, which will allow students to make nearly any type of mead.

Cost: $50 for Members, $60 general admission

Ages 21 and up only.

Class sizes are limited and registration is required, so please register in advance. Courses will be cancelled with a full refund if minimum enrollment is not met. Please contact Michael King, Adult Education Coordinator, for additional information at 206-789-5707, x7037 or [email protected].
