Join us under the stars at the Museum for Casino Royale (2006), the first film in our "Nordics in Hollywood" series!

Upon its release in 2006, Casino Royale catapulted accomplished Danish actor Mads Mikkelsen (who plays the film's main antagonist Le Chiffre) to worldwide recognition. Enjoy this modern classic under the stars at the National Nordic Museum, where the film will be screened on the south side of the Museum in the parking lot. Please bring family and friends, as well as folding chairs or something soft to serve as your seats. Local favorite Scooby Dogs will have their food truck onsite for snacking during the film.

About the film: After receiving a license to kill, British Secret Service agent James Bond (Daniel Craig) heads to Madagascar, where he uncovers a link to Le Chiffre (Mads Mikkelsen), a man who finances terrorist organizations. Learning that Le Chiffre plans to raise money in a high-stakes poker game, MI6 sends Bond to play against him, gambling that their newest "00" operative will topple the man's organization.

About the series: Launching in 2022, "Nordics in Hollywood" celebrates the contributions of Nordic and Nordic American actors and directors to American cinema. Films that represent different genres and periods are selected and presented free of charge. Please reserve your space in advance.

Please note: Casino Royale is rated PG-13 and features adult content. It may not be suitable for all audiences.
