We cannot say enough about our amazing Julefest volunteers! Thank you to everyone who contributed to support the Museum - from Goodie2Go bakers, to entertainers, to æbleskiver makers, to front entrance greeters - you help make Julefest into a magical weekend of Nordic holiday cheer 👏👏👏
Julefest began with our Julefest Community Decoration Craft Day on November 11th, when dozens of volunteers came out to handmake decorations, drink hot chocolate, and meet other crafters.
(These decorations will continue to be up at the Museum through the holidays. Come visit to marvel at their handiwork!)
Before any visitors arrived for Julefest, our Goodies2Go bakers spent weeks baking, receiving, and organizing cookies, lefse, and other delicious goodies for the weekend.
At Friday's Night Market, many volunteers staffed the most important spots of the night - our bars!
Saturday and Sunday started out with volunteers handing out hot drinks to those waiting in line.
By 9:30am on Saturday, our æbleskiver kitchen was already gearing up for hungry Julefest visitors.
The Goodies2Go crew was also prepped and eager to welcome all our lefse lovers!
Valhalla Beer Hall was flowing all weekend with cheer, from our volunteer ID checkers to our bartenders.
We also welcomed performers from all around Seattle, who arrived ready to spread holiday cheer!
Serving over 2,700 orders of æbleskiver, our team of volunteers kept the æbleskiver line moving!
From those who volunteer year-round, to those who come out especially for Julefest, we're grateful every year for our tireless volunteers.
