The journey also includes generous time in Reykjavík, Iceland’s vibrant, walkable capital, where cutting-edge music, design, cuisine, and culture thrive at the crossroads of tradition and innovation.

Itinerary

  • Begin your Iceland experience with a private welcome gathering. Meet your fellow travelers, Kevin Cole, and National Nordic Museum Director Lath Carlson before strolling to a curated, festive dinner reserved exclusively for our group—an intimate introduction to Reykjavík’s culinary and cultural scene.

  • These days are devoted to Reykjavík from an insider’s perspective. Programming is being finalized as musical artists and cultural partners are confirmed, ensuring access beyond the public-facing experience. Expect curated encounters focused on Icelandic music, creativity, and cultural history, guided by deep local knowledge and long-standing relationships.

Highlights include a guided visit to Björk’s highly anticipated new exhibition at the National Gallery, framed with expert commentary and context. Evenings and experiences are intentionally paced to allow for spontaneous discoveries and exclusive moments rarely available to independent travelers.

  • This morning, depart Reykjavík aboard our private coach to begin a full circumnavigation of Iceland via the legendary Ring Road—a journey few visitors experience in its entirety. En route, pause at the majestic Goðafoss Waterfall, long revered for both its beauty and historical significance. Arrive in Laugar for a two-night stay in Northern Iceland, offering a rare opportunity to settle into this less-traveled region.

  • Explore Northern Iceland’s most dramatic landscapes with an excursion that brings you deep into the country’s geological heart. Highlights include the otherworldly Hverir geothermal fields, the thunderous Dettifoss Waterfall, the sweeping Ásbyrgi glacial canyon, and the historic harbor town of Húsavík. With expert narration and flexible pacing, this day is designed for discovery without crowds.

  • Continue south toward the ethereal Jökulsárlón Glacier Lagoon, set against the vast Vatnajökull Glacier, which alone covers eight percent of Iceland. This evening offers time to unwind in your hotel’s sauna or hot tub—a moment of calm amid one of the planet’s most extraordinary environments.

  • Journey through Iceland’s cinematic southern coast, with carefully timed stops at, the sculpted Fjaðrárgljúfur canyon, the Reynisfjara black sand beach, and the iconic Skógafoss and Seljalandsfoss waterfalls. Traveling with a private group allows for unrushed exploration and access at moments when these natural wonders are at their most magical.

  • Return to Reykjavík via the celebrated Golden Circle, experiencing it in depth rather than in haste. Visit Gullfoss, Geysir, and Þingvellir, the Viking-era parliamentary site dramatically set within a tectonic rift between continents. Arrive back at Hotel Alda for a relaxed evening in the capital.

  • Enjoy a final day in Reykjavík with specially arranged programming (details forthcoming), designed to reflect the group’s shared interests and the evolving music scene. The journey concludes with a private farewell dinner—an evening to reflect on the rare experiences and connections made along the way.

  • Tour concludes after breakfast.
