Join instructor Christin Curran at the Museum for an in-person introduction to nålebinding, the ancient textile technique used by the Vikings! In this introductory course, we'll explore the history of nålebinding, learn how to make a start, stitch basics, notation, and working in the round. Students will leave the class with a finished wrist warmer or small pouch and basic knowledge of this endangered heritage craft.
🧶 Nålebinding needle and wool yarn are included in class fees. Already have your own nålebinding needles? Email carsonm@nordicmuseum.org for a discount to the workshop!
