Introduction to Needle Felting: Nordic Tomte

Take your own needle-felted Tomte home! Whether you're a beginner or have tried felting before, this class is the perfect Nordic holiday afternoon with family and friends.

Learn the art of needle felting in this 2.5 hour felting class taught by local artist Kayla Ann. 

Kayla will guide students through the process of creating their very own felted Tomte (house elf from Swedish folklore) while discussing felting, techniques, and ties to traditional Nordic handcrafts. This class is perfect for beginner and intermediate needle felters. 

Students will leave the class with a finished project and the knowledge to begin felting at home on their own!


Class is suitable for ages 16+ and students must have good hand and wrist dexterity. Price includes needle felting kit.

    Kayla Ann is a Seattle based artist and designer known for her playful print designs, colorful illustrations, and her endless love of plants and flowers. She blends elements from the natural world and vintage-inspired motifs to create surface pattern designs, illustrations, and murals. Her signature style combines sketches with pops of color, creating moments of joy that bring awareness to our innate connection with nature.
