Learn the fundamentals of needle felting in this two-hour introductory course with local artist Kayla Ann! Students will create a handful of small, needle-felted ornaments that can be incorporated into a Swedish Påskris tree and/or used as spring decor. 3D felting techniques, felting tools, and the history of this traditional Nordic craft will be discussed during the workshop. All materials included. Hand and wrist dexterity are required for this craft. See below for provided materials.

  • Wool Roving in white, pink, blue, and yellow
  • Felting Needle
  • Felting Foam
  • Ribbon

    Kayla Ann

    Kayla Ann is a Seattle based artist and designer known for her playful print designs, colorful illustrations, and her endless love of plants and flowers. She blends elements from the natural world and vintage-inspired motifs to create surface pattern designs, illustrations, and murals. Her signature style combines sketches with pops of color, creating moments of joy that bring awareness to our innate connection with nature.
