POSTPONED The Urnes Panel Carving Class

w/ Erik Holt

10:30am-5pm

Note: This class has been POSTPONED due to an unforseen issue with a supply vendor. More information and an updated class date will be available soon.

Note: Participants should plan to attend all four sessions

Join us for this four-day class and carve one of the most recognizable ornaments from the Urnes Stave Church in Norway. This class is open to advanced and intermediate students. Students must have their own tools and know the principles of relief carving as well as how to keep their tools sharp.  In this first installment of the Urnes series students will be working on some advanced tool control as well as plane and line flow to produce an elegant and flowing ornament. Depending on your skill level, most students should be able to finish this project during class. Follow-up Sunday workshops are available for those who need additional help.  For more information on the class and tools you should have with you, please visit the instructor's website: www.nordicdragon.com/urnes

Materials fee to be paid directly to the instructor: $130

Cost: $300 for Members; $350 general admission
