Nordic Nights with Sóley and Lowly

6 – 11pm

THIS EVENT IS PART OF NORDIC SEATTLE'S
NORDIC NIGHTS SERIES!

This event was produced in partnership with KEXP Radio.

Nordic Nights continues with Icelandic singer and multi-instrumentalist Sóley, marking her first return to Seattle since her landmark Reykjavík Calling performance at Neumos in 2015. Joining Sóley will be Danish indie pop musicians Lowly. Tickets are $18 for members, $20 general admission.

ABOUT THE BANDS

Born in Hafnarfjörður, Iceland, Sóley has attracted a huge international following with her fairytale song craft, noted for its dreamlike qualities and dark surrealism. Her single “Pretty Face” has gained over 22.4 million YouTube views since its release. Having studied piano and later composition at the Icelandic Art Academy, Sóley Stefánsdóttir, formerly a member of the band Seabear, released her debut solo full-length album We Sink in 2011. She will be making her second solo appearance in Seattle at the Nordic Museum, following her landmark performance at Neumos's Reykjavík Calling concert in 2014.

Self-described as “nosie pop and everything in between," Danish band Lowly orginates from the meeting of the five members at the Aarhus Conservatory of Music in 2014. Nanna Schannong (vocal, guitar), Soffie Viemose (vocal, laptop), Kasper Staub (synthesizers), Thomas Lund (bass, Moog), and Steffen Lundtoft (drums, percussion) found common ground in a playful and extremely melodic sonic universe that is impossible to put a genre tag on. Lowly will be making their Seattle debut at the Nordic Museum.
