Holiday Magic: Joys & Dreams

A Christmas Concert at Edmonds Center for the Arts

3PM & 7PM

Nordic Museum members will receive $5 off regular ticket prices for the Sno-King Community Chorale’s December 8th Holiday Magic: Joys and Dreams concert, featuring Dreamweaver, a new work by contemporary Norwegian composer, Ola Gjeilo, whose style is often described as cinematic and evocative, with a lush, harmonious sound.

Dreamweaver is based on the well-known Norwegian medieval folk poem Draumkvedet, an epic ballad where the protagonist, Olav Åsteson, falls asleep on Christmas Eve and sleeps for thirteen days. He wakes up, rides to church and describes to the congregation his dreams about his brave, beautiful, terrifying, and ultimately redeeming journey through the afterlife.

Dreamweaver is a dramatic, gorgeous work that will appeal to all. Featuring guest soloist Jennifer Bromagen. Fun and entertaining holiday songs will be performed in this concert.

There are two chances to see this great performance at teh Edmonds Center for the Arts: 3pm and 7pm.
