An expansive survey of the legendary Norwegian explorer's life, Lessons from the Arctic - How Roald Amundsen won the Race to the South Pole, explains in detail how Roald Amundsen spent his youth preparing for a life in the Polar Regions, including his first meeting with the Antarctic, and the three years he spent with the Inuit in the Arctic region. Join exhibition curator Geir Kløver, Director of the Fram Museum in Oslo, as he dives deeper into the motivations, tactics, and achievements that culminated in Amundsen’s historic Race for the South Pole from 1910-12.
